It hasn’t been proved to have any reliable effects.
Resveratol has been the subject of lab studies. It has had conflicting data as to the benefit of cancer patients. In the lab it has shown promise in inhibiting cancer cells . . but it also shows activity in activating estrogen or androgen. Which means that patients with hormone sensitive cancers should avoid resveratrol as it may actually stimulate cancer cell growth.
Memorial Sloan Kettering has conducted investigations into the benefit of resveratrol. Currently there are no clinical trials that provide any evidence that resveratrol has ever shown efficiacy against cancer in human beings.
