it comes from grapes, so the safest and most natural way to get it would to be eat a lot of grapes

Most vitamin stores will have it in supplement form. You can get it in wine and of course you can eat grapes.

There are different sources, but the only way to get high concentrations of resveratrol is to buy resveratrol supplements.

Here is a lot of info on resveratrol.

be careful who you get it from, because some so-called resveratrol products do not contain enough resveratrol in them to be effective. They cannot be technically called scams because they do have some resveratrol in them – but, they are misleading because they do not have the proper concentration to be effective.

There are two products on the market which have been proven to have the effective amounts: ResV Pro and Resveratrol Select. These two were showcased on Oprah, Dr. Oz, and 60 minutes(among others). These are the 2 “big guys” which actually are providing the real thing, so if you get it from them, rest assured you are getting the real thing. They are not “scams,” as so many people are wary of.

Any other products may be substandard, so do your research before choosing any of them.

But why waste time doing that when you know that Resveratrol Select and ResV Pro are the real thing, as documented by Oprah, Dr. Oz, 60 minutes, and the Discovery Health channel?

Here is the difference between the two:

ResV Pro: Has the full amount of resveratrol you need, plus it is enhanced with green tea and acai berry. Each tablet has the equivalent of 200 glasses of red wine. These added ingredients help boost the effects of the resveratrol. Because acai and green tea have been proven to be excellent metabolism boosters, they help you break down the resveratrol much more efficiently and you’ll see its effects a bit faster. I like this one because it kills 3 birds with one stone: acai, green tea, and resveratrol.

Resveratrol Select: Simply contains the best and highest quality resveratrol, each tablet containing the equivalent of 200 glasses of red wine. Also, an excellent product and and 100% Pure.

There is a great website I’ll put in the resource box with more information on ResV Pro and Resveratrol Select – plus, they have a special on ResV Pro: If you order the free trial bottle from them, they will reimburse your shipping, and also give you 5 free health eBooks absolutely free – it’s something you should take advantage of, as it will not last much longer.

This website is not just a “sales” website, but they have lots of info and articles, updated everyday for your evaluation.

That’s where I got mine, and the eBooks are highly informative and helpful. All the details are in the website below.

I take resveratrol and I feel great. I got a free sample from the site below and purchased more. The big thing is you need to take supplements to get the best results.

Resveratrol present in other plants, such as eucalyptus, spruce, and lily, and in other foods such as mulberries and peanuts, resveratrol’s most abundant natural sources are Vitis vinifera, labrusca, and muscadine grapes, which are used to make wines. It occurs in the vines, roots, seeds, and stalks, but its highest concentration is in the skin, which contains 50-100 micrograms (µg) per gram.

I hate to be mean, and certainly don’t mean to be but the makers of ResV have a whole lot of complaints out there. I found this list of complaints: http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/rezv-a114722.html - so I wouldn’t go there.

I would say that you can get resveratrol supplements pretty much anywhere. Walgreens, CVS, GNC.com, AmericaRx, Puritans Pride, etc. - all the big on-line drug companies sell resveratrol supplements. 90% of them are in pill form, a few are in juices as an added nutrient - and a few more are powders you mix with water. That covers the supplements.

You can also get a good dose of resveratrol if you drink red wine regularly. Some people say there isn’t enough, but they also say red wine is why the French are healthier and live longer. You decide. So if there isn’t enough - then eat a handful of peanuts, add blueberries to your ice cream and don’t pass up the cranberry sauce. All of those things have resveratrol in them.

Two things to think about when you’re buying a resveratrol supplement. 1. It’s an antioxidant so it needs to be isolated from oxygen from the time it is grown to the time it enters your bloodstream. Every second in between the antioxidant atoms are neutralizing the free radicals in the air around them.

That’s why wine is the perfect resveratrol delivery system. The grape skins keep the resveratrol isolated from the air. The grapes are then crushed and left to ferment for a while, the skins are removed and then the wine stays isolated from oxygen until you drink it. And then, since resveratrol is best absorbed in the mouth, wine drinkers naturally take a pause with full cheeks of wine before they swallow. A perfect combination.

So stay away from pills, juices or powders that are sold in mass quantity - like 30 pills, or a week’s supply of juice, or a powder you scoop. Find pills in blister packs, single serving liquid supplements or individual powder packets. I’d also look for a supplement that has more than just resveratrol. Wine has OPC’s and lots of other nutrients. Look for one that has a wide variety.

My favorites that meet those requirements are OPC Factor and Longevinex. I’ve put a link down below where you can learn lots more about resveratrol, its sources and supplements.
